On December 6th, 2023, DUCE Management carried out a mid-orientation programme for freshers. The orientation was organized by the by Dean of Students, Ms. Natu Msuya accompanied by the Acting Deputy Principal (Academic, Research and Consultancy), Dr. Sixbert Mlowe, Faculty Deans and Heads of Departments.
The purpose of the orientation was to remind students on essential academic aspects discussed during the orientation week. During the mid-orientation session, students received more inputs on university regulations, examination rules, roles of academic advisors, students’ health, cafeteria services, accommodation and sports.
The mid-orientations sessions proved crucial since students needed more clarifications from the College Management. Some students find themselves grappling with uncertainties and hence seeking additional guidance. The mid-orientation is a proactive approach that assists students in receiving more information and eventually achieve success in their academic journey.
