On January 22nd, 2024, the Deputy Principals, Prof. Method Samwel (PFA) and Dr. Christina Raphael (ARC), welcomed thirteen academic staff who graduated their PhDs from different Universities within and outside the country.

These new PhD staff are Yulli Jeremia (PhD in Political Science), Fides Pangani (PhD in Linguistics), Hija Urassa (PhD in History), Bahati Magesa, (PhD in Sustainability Sciences), Shafii Kanju (PhD in Public Administration), Yovita Vakolavene (PhD in History), Farida Lolila (PhD in Physics), Avirt Lighuda (PhD in Mathematics) and Edna Kyaruzi (PhD in Education). Others are Stanslaus Mtavangu (PhD in Chemical Engineering), Paulina Nyangoma (PhD in Information Studies), William Twelle (PhD in Educational Studies) and Noel Nthangu (PhD in Economics).

Speaking during the event, the Deputy Principal (ARC), Dr. Christina Raphael urged the new PhD staff to publish widely and find funded consultancy services while their brains are still active. She insisted that research and consultancy will not only increase their income but also market the College.

Speaking during the event, the Deputy Principal (PFA), Prof. Method Samwel, congratulated the new PhD Staff and encouraged them to work hard while the College Management is preparing better working environment. He requested them to use the acquired knowledge meticulously by observing professionalism.

Presenting her general overview, Dr. Yovita Vacolavene on behalf of the new PhD Staff, expressed her gratitude to the College Management. She requested the management to consider providing research financial allowances that are likely to support data collection. She finally promised to work hard by fulfilling university core activities that will inevitably help to promote the standard of the College.
