Dr. Jaba Shadrack is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Law. He joined the University in 2009. He obtained his LL.B and LL.M Degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law (UDSoL) in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. Degree from the University of Warwick in 2020.
Dr. Jaba Shadrack is a recipient of the Coca Cola’s ACSEE Award for Best Student in English Language (2004), PITRO Scholarships for UDSM Staff (2009), REPOA Research Bursary (2012/2013), Employee of the Year Award (UDSoL) (2014/2015) and the DFID/Commonwealth Scholarships Tenable in the UK (2016-2019).
Dr. Jaba’s areas of interests are constitutional law, criminology and penology, non-state security actors, public-private divides, plural policing, labour law, juvenile justice, legal drafting, law report writing, document analysis, review and copyediting, and document translation (English/Swahili).
