The University of Dar es Salaam Legal Aid Clinic operates under the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law and is responsible for providing legal advice, legal representation, preparation of legal documents, and legal education.

MSc Scholarship Opportunities at University of Dar es Salaam

Fluoride contamination in groundwater remains a major public health challenge in northern Tanzania, particularly in Oldonyosambu and Oldonyowas wards of Arusha District. Many residents depend on groundwater sources with fluoride levels exceeding WHO’s recommended limit (1.5 mg/L), leading to widespread dental and skeletal fluorosis. Rainwater harvesting (RWH) offers a low-cost and sustainable alternative for providing safe drinking water in these communities.

The Partnerships for Sustainable Community Development – Tanzania Partnership Program (PSCD-TPP) at Michigan State University is a collaborative alliance of local and international organizations working together to make communities more sustainable in their economic, health, education and overall well-being. The German political foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in partnership with the University of Dar es Salaam announces funds for a scholarship for the full period of 18 months for prospective students who qualify for the programme Master of Arts in Ethics of Governance and Public Service (MA EGPS) for the academic year 2025/2026. MA EGPS is multidisciplinary, combining courses that are team-taught in the Humanities, Development Studies, Political Science and Law disciplines.

Eligibility:

This Sida-funded PhD scholarship is open to eligible candidates wishing to specialize in Interdisciplinary Molecular Biosciences (IMB). The training will include the following disciplines: systematics, natural product chemistry, ecology, biotechnology, biomedical and bioinformatics. The PhD program must be completed within four (4) years and will be offered at the University of Dar es Salaam through a blended learning approach, involving expert contributions from Swedish partner institutions. Students will be registered at UDSM and co-supervised by both local and Swedish supervisors.

Objectives
